Eastern and Southern Africa Parliamentary Caucus for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Sustainable Development (ESAParC)

In a landmark development for the Eastern and Southern African region, parliamentarians from diverse backgrounds and countries have united under the banner of the Eastern and Southern Africa Parliamentary Caucus on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (ESAParc).  

Seeing the need for coordinated action to improve sexual and reproductive health and rights in the region, parliamentarians worked alongside Ipas Africa AllianceIpas Africa Southern Region and various strategic partners to form the caucus. The interim leadership includes representatives from Malawi, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, and Eswatini, with plans to nominate more committee members for executive roles.

    ESAParC is dedicated to empowering parliamentarians in Eastern and Southern Africa to leverage their influence to foster robust political will among governments, to uphold their commitments to realise, without discrimination, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and to propel sustainable development goals for the benefit of all peoples.

Membership of ESAParC

ESAParC membership is exclusive to all current parliamentarians in the ESA region who share an interest in advancing its mission and objectives.

National Caucuses

ESAParC members shall organize themselves in caucuses in their countries.
